What is this fundraiser?
Introduction
As you know, the Lindbergh St. Louis Spirit of St. Louis Marching Band has been selected to march in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. To help fund this enormous undertaking, the Lindbergh Bandstanders have created many fundraisers to ensure that all families can afford this trip. This website is dedicated to the Gift Card Fundraiser.

How does it work?
Currently, we are taking gift cards orders for Dierbergs and Shop n Save (may be expanded to more stores in the future, check back for updates!). For both of these grocery stores, we sell gift cards in increments of $25 and $100. Now for the fundraiser part: for each card that you order, the store will donate 4.5% of the card's value to your student's account, and another 0.5% to the band's general fund. That means that for every $25 gift card you order from either Dierbergs or Shop n Save, $1.13 will be added to your student's account and for every $100 gift card you order, $4.50 will be added to your student's account. The great thing about this fundraiser is that while you add money to your student's account for every card you order, you purchase the cards at face value. That means that you pay $25 for a $25 gift card and $100 for a $100 gift card. The funds that are added to your student's account are donated from Dierbergs and Shop n Save. To fully take advantage of this fundraiser, you can sell to families, friends, neighbors, and co-workers, who should all be glad to help out since this will cost them nothing as well!

How/when do you pay?
We deliver the cards at every band parent meeting and bandwich making day immediately after an order due date passes, and you pay when you pick up the cards. We accept cash, personal checks, and money orders when you pick up the cards, but please keep in mind we accept personal checks from BAND FAMILIES ONLY.

What's the catch?
Simple answer: there is none. You have to do grocery shopping, right? Well so does EVERYONE else. If you simply purchase the amount in grocery cards that you will need for a month's worth of shopping, you can very easily cover the cost of the trip at NO COST to you! As stated earlier, you pay $100, you get a $100 gift card. Dierbergs/Shop n Save loses the money that you gain, and in return, they get your business. The Dierbergs cards expire in a year and the Shop n Save cards have no expiration dates, so if you purchase more than you need for the month, no problem, just use it the next month! These cards work exactly like gift cards and function as cash for the store that you purchase them. This should be a very easy sell to your neighbors/co-workers/family, because just as it costs you nothing, it costs them nothing either! So what are you waiting for? Go order some cards!
